Dec 15 Mid-Century Modern Open House Listings: Hills of Sherman Oaks, Encino and Tarzana

There are 14 single-family mid-century modern open house listings for December 8 in the hills of Sherman Oaks, Encino and Tarzana, south of Ventura Blvd.  There are 2 new listings being offered for view tomorrow.

I am a bit baffled by the new listing just east of Ventura Canyon at 13535 Rand Dr in Sherman Oaks.  What has happened to this classic mid-century modern post and beam ranch?  Time has not served this home well.  You know when you look at something and it makes you feel a little uneasy?  This is the case with Rand.  Embellishments and remuddle from a prior owner has desecrated the original work and is hard to justify the $1,249,000 price tag.  I feel bad for this listing as it has an identity problem. 

The weather forecast for tomorrow is calling for sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s!  It should be a beautiful day.  Sunset is at 4:45pm.
