Dec 15 Mid-Century Modern Open House Listings: 90046 and 90069

There are 8 single-family mid-century modern open houses listed for December 15 in the 90046 and 90069 zip code areas featuring the Sunset Strip, Hollywood Hills West, Laurel Canyon, Mt. Olympus, Nichols Canyon and Sunset Plaza.  There are no new listings this week.

Because we live mostly in our kitchens, I wanted to select a few to showcase this week, since we have slim-pickins this week.  Above, the remodeled kitchen at the Woodrow Wilson listing catches my eye the most.  Simple.  Clean.  Modern.  The Willow Glen listing, below, also catches my eye as it offers more community space with stools and a bar that work well with the island set-up.  The only thing missing is the built-in coffee/espresso maker...

Sadly, what hurts the Hal Levitt listing in Mt. Olympus is the lack of quality appliances and finishes for the kitchen space.  It leaves you feeling cold and without any warmth.  The seller, in my opinion, skimped on the most important room of the house, the kitchen.
