Harwell Hamilton Harris, FAIA 1949: "The J.J. Mulvihill Residence", Sierra Madre

Located in the hills of Sierra Madre on the foothills of Mt. Wilson you find The John J. Mulvihill Residence, designed by Richard Neutra apprentice and architect, Harwell Hamilton Harris.  The 1949 three-story post-and-beam mid-century modern envelops you into nature with plenty of windows to allow you to take in the gardens below, including a koi pond.  Nestled in the scenic and panoramic hillside, the redwood-clad home was landscaped by John T. Lyle who was also one of the prior owners of this modern delight.  The home was listed for $2,995,000, but has since been removed from the MLS.
