Richard Neutra STALLER HOUSE Hits Market at $10.9M

The Staller House 901 Bel Air Road, Los Angeles, 90077, Richard Neutra
Not since 1998 have we seen the Richard Neutra designed  STALLER HOUSE, built in 1955 come on market.  The last time 901 Bel Air Road, Los Angeles, CA 90077 was on market, the STALLER HOUSE sold for $3,275,000.  This 4 bedroom / 7 bath Mid-Century Modern classic is now being offered for $10,900,000.  Times certainly have changed for the positive, literally and figuratively, in the Los Angeles market of Mid-Century Modern homes for sale.

The gated and private estate has approximately 6,674sf of interior living space.  The home sits on over an acre (47,857sf) of land in Bel Air.
This particular Neutra has been altered from it's 3 bedroom / 6 bath original design, so it is no longer in it's most pure state of what the architect had in mind (see the video below for a 3-D rendering of original).

Restored after the purchase in 1997, an award-winning architect used updated materials, along with expanding the home with the additional 1,200sf including bedroom #4 and bath #7.  901 Bel Air Road is a Mid-Century Modern architectural haven.
Four bedrooms, 7 baths, spacious master with his and her baths.
4,200 bottle refrigerated wine tasting room.
Of course, we see the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic in great scale with walls of glass capturing the views for forever and the surrounding mature landscape and natural setting.

The home has been published in Julius Shulman's “Complete Works” and has archives located at the Getty Library.

The home is situated with spectacular city and ocean views.

If this project inspires you and you would like to see it first-hand, please give me a call, 213-305-8537, to set up a showing.

In the meantime, have a modern day!

Check out this funny, macabre and somewhat chaotic 3-D model presentation of the original design of the STALLER HOUSE prior to the addition / renovation.
